That $60 brush pack from Instagram turned out to be a total scam
I saw this ad for a digital brush pack that claimed to have "pro-level textures" for painting landscapes. I paid $60 for it through a link, and when I downloaded it, half the brushes just looked like smudged blobs. I tried loading them into Procreate and Clip Studio, but they barely worked right in either one. The artist's page vanished a week later, so I couldn't even ask for a refund. Has anyone else gotten burned by those flashy brush sets from social media ads?

The same thing happened with a $45 "oil painter pro" set I bought last year, turned out to be free brushes someone repackaged. You basically paid for a lesson in why you never buy art tools from Instagram ads.

Ordered a "vintage" leather art portfolio off one of those ads once. It showed up looking like a dog chewed on it and the zipper broke the first time I tried to open it. The seller had the nerve to tell me "it adds character" when I complained. Did you at least get a refund or did you have to fight for it?
