Found 14,000 screenshots on my phone from 2021

Last week I was trying to clear space for a system update and discovered I had 14,347 screenshots dating back to 2021. Most were blurry pictures of Amazon orders I was thinking about buying and random memes I already forgot. Has anyone else found a fast way to sort through years of junk like this?

Bro, I used to just screenshot everything thinking I'd actually come back and look at it later. I've definitely changed my tune on that now. What finally worked for me was just deleting everything older than like 6 months without even looking at it. You lose some stuff here and there but honestly you don't miss anything important. The amount of space you free up is wild, I went from like 20gb of screenshots down to almost nothing.

Ha, @leewood you might be right but I think 20gb is low for a heavy screenshotter!

Honestly that whole mindset of keeping everything just in case applies to way more than just screenshots. It's like how people hold onto old clothes they haven't worn in years or keep every receipt just in case they need to return something. We all kind of assume future us will have the time and energy to sort through all this stuff but that never happens lol. I noticed once I started just clearing out my downloads folder and camera roll regularly it feels like a weight off my shoulders. Its funny how we attach so much value to random digital clutter when really most of it is just noise.
