Hit 10,000 bookmarked tabs before my browser finally gave up

Last night I opened Chrome and it just froze for a full minute before crashing, so I checked my settings and saw I had 10,347 tabs saved across three windows. Has anyone else hit a crazy number like that and had their browser just tap out?

Honestly @nathankim I used to think people with hundreds of tabs were just messy or lazy. Like how hard is it to close stuff you arent using? But then I got a new laptop for work and kept a bunch of research tabs open for a project I was working on. After two weeks I had over 600 tabs open across three different windows. Now I get it completely. Some stuff you just know you need to come back to but you also dont want to lose the spot. So the tabs just pile up like laundry. Do you ever actually go back and close yours or do they just stay there forever?

Pile up like laundry" is the PERFECT way to describe it. I have a whole window dedicated to tabs I SWEAR I'll get back to for my side projects. @nathankim makes me feel better about my measly 400 though. My trick is that I'll do a massive purge every few months, but I ALWAYS regret it when I close something I later need. Now I just drag tabs into a folder like "To Read Eventually" and that way I can close the window without losing them forever. It's a total mess but at least I can find stuff.
