Hit 10,000 unread emails and had a freakout - should I mass delete or actually sort through them?

That's a tough situation, but the real question is what's actually in those 10,000 emails. Are they mostly spam and newsletters you never signed up for, or are they from people you know that might need a reply? Mass deleting could be a huge relief, but you'd be taking a risk if any of them had a time-sensitive bill or an important message from a family member. Sorting through them sounds like a nightmare too, but maybe you can break it into smaller chunks over a few days. Which one scares you more, the time it takes to sort or the chance of missing something important?

10,000 unread emails? @betty_perry24 that's insane, I would have deleted them all yesterday without a second thought.

Oh man, 10,000 emails sounds like my brain after I try to organize my junk drawer... I'd probably just delete them all and hope for the best, it's worked out fine with my inbox so far haha.
