Overheard a guy at the coffee shop say his browser tabs made a pattern like a barcode
I counted my own tabs this morning and hit 87 open on my phone alone, which got me wondering if any of you have ever actually measured the physical anxiety drop after a mass close-out, or is that just a me thing?

Honestly danielr99 is so right, I still get flashbacks to losing a recipe I needed for dinner.

Ha! 87 tabs on a phone is rookie numbers, you gotta pump those up. But man, the panic when you close a tab you didn't mean to is like dropping your phone down an elevator shaft. I did a mass close-out last week and immediately lost a map to a hiking trail I was literally looking at. Spent 20 minutes trying to retrace my clicks in the history like a detective. The dopamine hit was real, but the follow-up regret was way too spicy.

Closing 87 tabs is a dopamine reset, plain and simple. The anxiety drop is real but it hits different if you accidentally close something important. Lost a job application tab once and the regret lasted three days.
