Shoutout to finally clearing my downloads folder after 4 years
I had over 8,000 files sitting in my downloads folder since 2021. My laptop kept freezing every time I tried to open it. Yesterday I spent 3 hours sorting through everything, found 14 old tax PDFs I needed, and finally hit delete on the rest. The whole thing ran so much faster after I freed up like 12 gigs. Has anyone else found years-old stuff in there they totally forgot about?

Found a folder of screenshots from my college years in 2012 when I finally got around to cleaning mine out. Had some truly terrible memes in there that should have stayed buried forever.

@wood.uma bet half of those memes were advice animals or rage comics. we all thought we were hilarious back then. the cringe is real but at least you can delete them now. probably some gems in there too though.
