Spent 45 minutes looking for a file I'd saved as 'final_3_really_final.doc'
The document was hiding inside a subfolder I'd named 'temp old stuff backup 2022' because I was too scared to delete anything. Has anyone else found a good way to name folders so you can actually find things later?

Wait, "misc important junk" is an actual folder name for you?

Meaning "misc important junk" is exactly what I have too, except mine is called "random stuff that might matter later" which is basically the same thing. I once spent 45 minutes looking for a password reset email because I had filed it under "receipts" instead of "accounts" (don't ask, I have no idea why either). My desktop has so many screenshots that I've actually given up and just start typing random words into the search bar hoping something pops up.

Oh man, I felt that "temp old stuff backup 2022" line in my soul. I have a folder called "misc important junk" that's basically a digital black hole. My system is just chaos at this point - I'll name things "project_actual_final_v2" and then three months later I can't even remember what project it was. Sometimes I just search for specific words I remember using, like "meeting" or "budget," and pray the file comes up. It's honestly a disaster but I'm too lazy to fix it.
