Used to save every single email receipt, now I delete them after 30 days and it feels weirdly freeing

Has anyone else finally hit a breaking point where the clutter just felt heavier than the fear of deleting something important?

Wait, you used to save EVERY email receipt? Like every single one? That is wild to me lol. I bet you could've filled up a whole separate email folder just with all those "thank you for your purchase" messages.

Gotta admit though, having all those old receipts saved me once when my bank flagged a charge and I could prove it was mine from 2 years ago. Most people never think about using receipts for anything other than returns. Its kind of a weird but useful digital paper trail if you ask me.

Man, I get what you mean about the clutter. I still hold onto some old ones because I once had to prove I bought a used laptop off eBay three years after the fact to get the manufacturer warranty honored. The weird thing is, I ended up finding a digital photo of my cat sitting on the keyboard instead of the actual receipt, so it was a total wash anyway.
