Lost a $900 client after a power cut in Chiang Mai, now I keep a backup battery on every desk

I was mid-call with a Seattle startup when the building went dark for four hours and my laptop died with no warning, so now I carry a 600W power station and test it every Sunday, has anyone else built their whole setup around outage-proofing their income?
