My analog habit clashes with digital nomad norms
A lot of folks say to ditch all physical stuff and work only with digital gear. I keep a old film camera in my pack everywhere I go. It makes me stop and think before I take a picture, so I remember places better. Waiting for the film to get developed adds a fun delay that my phone just can't give.

That "fun delay" you mentioned with film development sounds interesting. Does the waiting actually change which moments you decide to capture, since you know you won't see the result right away?

Totally, that waiting makes me pick shots carefully, I've messed up whole rolls by rushing.

What @johnson.river said about changing which moments you capture is exactly it. You stop trying to get a perfect shot for likes right now. You start looking for the feeling of a place, something that will be worth the wait. It makes you way more present instead of just collecting pictures. That delay turns a snapshot into a real memory you had to work for.

Took my film camera on a road trip last year. Had to wait a month for the photos, and that delay made the whole trip feel more real. Honestly, I value those pictures way more than the hundreds on my phone.
