My laptop screen cracked in a coffee shop in Barcelona last Tuesday

I was working on a client project when my laptop slid off the table and the screen got a nasty crack right in the corner. Spent the next 3 hours finding a repair shop that could fix it same day, cost me 150 euros. Has anyone else had their gear fail in the middle of a workday abroad and had to scramble to fix it?

Honestly, "slid off the table" makes me wonder - were you at one of those tiny cafe tables that wobble? Did that have anything to do with it or was it all your fault?

Those tiny tables are definitely part of the problem, they should have coasters or non-slip mats if they're gonna be that small. But come on, you're the one who put your cup right on the edge knowing it could get knocked.

That's a lot of questions over a coffee spill honestly. Yeah maybe it was a tiny table but does it really matter whose fault it was at this point? Seems like everyone is treating this like a courtroom case or something. You knocked it over, it happens, move on with your day. I just don't see why we're dissecting the physics of table wobble versus cup placement like it's gonna bring the coffee back. Sometimes things just happen without a deep reason behind them.
