Overheard a guy in a Lisbon cafe say his 'office' was just a backpack
I was getting my morning coffee here in Lisbon and the guy next to me was on a video call. He said, 'Yeah, my whole office is just this backpack, it's kind of wild.' It really hit me because I've been carrying this heavy laptop bag for two years, thinking I needed all the extra cables and a second screen. Hearing him say that made me look at my own setup. I spent last night taking everything out of my bag and only putting back what I actually use daily. I got it down from about 15 pounds to maybe 7. It's a small thing, but my back already feels better walking around the city. Has anyone else done a big bag clean out and been surprised by what you actually need?

That minimalist backpack office thing is a total game changer. Carried a massive bag for years with every cable and gadget "just in case." Did the same clean out last month and found three old chargers for phones I don't even own anymore. The freedom of a light bag is seriously underrated. My shoulders don't ache by noon anymore. It's crazy what we think we need versus what we actually use.

Hold up, you found three old chargers? That's the real shocker for me. I did a bag dump last year and found a single ancient USB cable, which felt bad enough. Carrying three whole chargers for dead tech is next level. It really shows how that "just in case" stuff piles up without us noticing. Good on you for finally clearing it out.

Seriously, a whole life change over a backpack? It's just a bag. I get the shoulder ache thing, but come on. Troyknight found one old cable, which seems way more normal. People act like carrying an extra charger is some huge burden. What if your phone dies and you need it? That "just in case" stuff has saved me more times than a light bag has ever made me feel free.
