Paid $250 for a coworking day pass in Bali, got a hurricane instead

Booked that fancy spot in Canggu thinking it was the dream setup, fiber internet and all. Got there at 9am, storm hit by 11, power flickered all afternoon and the wifi died every 20 minutes. I lost a whole client call and had to hotspot from my phone in a coffee shop down the road, cost me another $8 for a latte but the connection was somehow better. The pass was non-refundable too, so I basically paid $250 to get yelled at by my editor. Has anyone else had garbage luck with those 'premium' coworking spots in tourist towns?

That "fiber internet and all" part really gets me. You pay extra for the exact thing that's supposed to make it worth it, and it's the first thing that craps out. I've had the same thing happen in Mexico, paid for a "digital nomad hub" and the router was held together with tape. Losing a client call is brutal, and then having to pay for a coffee just to do your job feels like a slap on top of a bruise. These places bank on the hype and the pretty photos, but they never test the power grid before taking your money. I feel for you, man, that's a full day of stress you didn't ask for.
