Rant: My worst week as a nomad was in Chiang Mai during burning season
I got there in March, and the air was thick with smoke from crop fires for five straight days. My eyes stung, I couldn't work from any cafe with outdoor seating, and my coworking space's air filters were overwhelmed. I spent over $100 on an air purifier for my room just to breathe. Has anyone else had to completely bail on a city because of something like this?

Did you end up leaving early or just tough it out?

Yeah "toughed it out" is the right way to put it, brian_taylor15. Sometimes you just have to grind through the bad parts to get it done. Like when you're stuck in a long line for something you really need, or forcing yourself to finish a tough workout. The feeling after is worth it, but man, in the moment it just sucks. You're just counting down the minutes until it's over.

The feeling after finishing is absolutely worth all the misery, you nailed that. I had to push through a terrible stomach bug while my three kids were all sick too, and I swear I was just watching the clock every single minute. But once everyone was finally asleep and the mess was cleaned up, it really did feel like a win.
