Three years of digital nomading and I still can't find a reliable coworking spot in Bali
Tried three different coworking spaces in Canggu last month and each one had spotty WiFi that kept cutting out during my Zoom calls with clients, so how do you guys actually scope out a place before you commit to a weekly pass?

Hard disagree with both of those takes. WiFi reliability is the whole point of paying for a coworking space instead of just working from a cafe or your villa. If the connection drops during a client call, that's on the space not delivering what they promised, doesn't matter if you have a backup SIM or not. Backup connections are fine for checking email but not for video calls where you need stable upload speeds. Most people don't have time to switch SIM cards mid-conversation either, that's just awkward and unprofessional. A coworking space advertising itself as "remote work friendly" should have their network sorted before taking anyone's money, period.

Spotty WiFi during Zoom calls" sounds more like a hotel lobby problem than a coworking crisis. Most coworking places in Canggu have backup connections or SIM cards you can use for like 50 cents. If losing one client call over bad WiFi is the end of the world, maybe the setup isn't the real issue.

nah but if your whole business hinges on one zoom call going smoothly you got bigger problems than wifi. bali's infrastructure is what it is, you're supposed to adapt not expect silicon valley level service in a developing country. honestly if the connection drops just hop on a call back or send a quick message, clients are way more chill about that stuff than people here make it seem.
