Time zone mix-up had me calling a client at midnight

I keep a world clock widget on my home screen now. It stops the panic before it starts.

My friend Mark in tech support once scheduled a 6 AM demo for a team in Singapore. He was proud of getting up so early to match their business hours. Turns out he had the conversion backwards, and it was 6 PM for them. The whole Singapore team had to stay late at the office to take his call. He bought a giant analog world clock for his desk the next day.

My calendar app shows both my time and the recipient's time for every meeting invite. That visual double-check has saved me from a few close calls, much like @theajohnson's friend needed. It's a simple setting that forces you to see the math.

My cousin in Melbourne missed our grandma's birthday call three years in a row because of bad time math. I see what you mean, anna872... it's this little blind spot that pops up everywhere, not just with work calls. You have to double check plans with friends in other states or even just daylight saving switches. That moment of confusion is way more common than people admit.
