Took my laptop to a coffee shop in Prague and ended up running a pop-up kitchen

I was working on client files at this hipster spot near Old Town when the owner came out looking desperate. Their line cook had just quit mid-service and they had 40 orders backed up. I told them I'm just a digital nomad who works with data, but my last gig was actually flipping burgers. After 5 minutes of arguing I agreed to help for free coffee. I spent 3 hours plating avocado toast and flat whites instead of building spreadsheets. My clients were mad I missed their deadline, but I got a free dinner and a great story. Has anyone else accidentally fallen into a random side job while traveling?

So you really just jumped in without checking if they had insurance or a waiver first? That's wild to me because if one of those customers got sick or burned themselves, you'd be on the hook personally. Did you at least get their business card or anything in writing before you started working?

You jumped in without checking for insurance or a waiver? That's like juggling chainsaws blindfolded and hoping nobody gets hurt. Please tell me you at least snapped a photo of their license or something.

Man, not everything needs a waiver. Sometimes you just help a stranger out.
