My brother said I was running from the pain, not toward happiness

Honestly, when my brother told me that six months ago, I got so mad I didn't talk to him for two weeks. I was filling every weekend with plans, dating apps, and redecorating the whole house in a frenzy. But last month I crashed hard after a 12-hour shift and realized I hadn't actually dealt with missing my ex-wife at all. He was right - I was just keeping busy so I wouldn't have to sit with how lonely I felt. Anyone else get called out by family like that and have to admit they were onto something?
