That $2,000 therapy retreat I went on after my divorce split was a lifesaver
I was really struggling after my wife left me in Houston, so I signed up for a week-long divorce recovery retreat in the hill country near Austin. Cost me about $2,000 for the room and group sessions, and honestly it helped me process things way faster than just sitting alone. Has anyone else dropped money on something like this, either therapy or a class, that actually helped or totally bombed?

Omg yes, a grief workshop saved me after my dad died, best money I spent.

A grief workshop costs money? Never heard of that before.

My local hospice ran one for $25 a session and it was honestly worth every penny. I was skeptical at first too but the facilitator helped me work through some stuff I didn't even realize I was holding onto. The group setting was really helpful too, just hearing other people talk about the same messy feelings. If you can swing it, I'd say give it a shot, even if it seems weird to pay for something like that.
