The week my ex took the kids to Disney and I actually relaxed

Last month my ex had the kids for 7 days straight, first time since we split in March. I thought I'd spiral but instead I slept 9 hours three nights in a row and fixed the leaky faucet in my rental without rushing. The silence was weird for 24 hours, then it felt like a vacation I didn't know I needed. Anyone else find that first solo stretch after the divorce papers landed was oddly refreshing or did I just get lucky?
