Battled with glue-down vs. floating floor for my own basement job
I went back and forth for weeks on whether to glue down LVP or go floating for my 600 sq ft basement. Ended up choosing floating because it was my first time and I wanted the easier tear-out if I messed up. Six months in and no complaints, but was that the right call for the long run?

Wait, you glue down LVP for a whole 600 sq ft basement as your first time? That's insane, I would've been so stressed about getting it perfect.

600 sq feet was bad enough lol I can't imagine trying to get a glue down perfect as a first timer. I barely kept my floating planks straight and level without glue everywhere. My cats were walking through wet adhesive like it was a construction site, would've been a nightmare cleanup plus breathing in fumes all day in a basement with no windows. Floating just made sense for my sanity even if it might need replacing sooner.
