Hit 500 square feet of tile in a day and my crew thought I was nuts
I've been running painting jobs for years but my crew needed help on a kitchen backsplash last month. I figured I'd just lend a hand for a few hours. Turns out we laid 500 square feet of subway tile in one day between three of us. My back felt it for a week but honestly I didn't think we'd get past 300. Has anyone else pulled off a number like that on a tile job?

Buddy of mine did 600 feet with his dad once. Never again, he said.

My friend tried something similar with his brother once. They both swore off it after one trip, said the rope burn was worse than they expected.

Used 50 feet of 1/2 inch rope on a practice tree with my buddy last summer... prepped with leather gloves and a ground tarp and still got some decent rope burn on my forearm. The trick for us was wetting the rope first - made it way more manageable and kept the friction down.
