Switched to a shop vac dust collector setup after 8 years of sweeping everything
I used to think those dust collector kits were just overpriced add-ons for people with too much money. Then I redid my basement ceiling in Denver last winter and spent three hours cleaning drywall dust out of every corner of the room. My buddy loaned me his cheap Wen dust collector with a 4 inch hose and it caught probably 80% of the dust at the source. I finally bought my own last month and after finishing a sanding project in my workshop the cleanup took maybe 15 minutes. Has anyone else found a big difference between the basic shop vac hose and a real dust collector setup?

Denver drywall dust is the worst, dust collectors are totally worth it.

Last time I dealt with Denver drywall dust I was still finding it in my coffee mug a week later, @alice_allen5, so yeah those collectors are a lifesaver.
