Just saw a kitchen backsplash done with leftover floor tiles
I was at a friend's house in Springfield and they showed me their kitchen redo. They had a box of extra porcelain floor tiles from a different job and used them behind the stove. It looked really sharp, kind of industrial but clean. It made me think about all the leftover materials I have sitting in my garage. Has anyone else tried something like that with tile scraps?

What size were the floor tiles they used?

Ugh, I feel that. I've stared at so many tile samples my eyes go crossed. Really hope someone here knows the answer for you.

What kind of leftover tiles do you have in your garage? I used some big slate floor tiles as a backsplash in my last place. The main thing is making sure the surface is flat and clean before you start. If the tiles are thick, you might need a stronger adhesive. It saved me a ton of money and looked way better than I thought it would. Just test a small area first to see if you like the look.
