My neighbor watched me tile my backsplash and pointed out my grout lines were too wide. Fixed it on the second try.

My buddy tried to help me hang a new door once. Kept telling me the gap at the top was too tight, so I trimmed it down. Ended up with a half inch gap on one side and had to shim the whole thing. Sometimes people just need to let you finish and see how it turns out.
