My patio project came down to a $50 rental or a $200 tool buy

I needed to cut about 30 pavers for a small patio border. Renting a wet saw for a day was 50 bucks, but buying a cheap angle grinder with a diamond blade was almost 200. I went with the rental, thinking it was the smart move. After three hours of setup, water hoses, and a fine mist of concrete dust covering me and my entire backyard, I was soaked and looked like a ghost. Anyone have a better method for a small number of cuts that doesn't create a total mess?

Score a cheap hand saw for masonry.

Ever try one of those cheap masonry saws, jake747? I saw a review where the guy said the blade went dull after two cuts on a cinder block. Might be worth spending a bit more so you're not just buying a fancy paperweight.
