Question about using a cheap paint sprayer versus a good brush for trim

I always thought a paint sprayer was overkill for baseboards and just used a 2-inch angled brush. Last week I painted all the trim in my living room with a Wagner Flexio 590, and it cut the time down from a full day to about three hours. The finish is so much smoother with no brush marks, and I didn't have to tape off the floor as much. Has anyone else switched tools for a job and been totally shocked by the difference?

My buddy did his whole kitchen with a sprayer after years of brushing and he said the same thing, it was a total game changer. He used a basic latex in a Graco, but @taylor.william, he did say thinning it a bit was key to avoid clogs. Watching him do the cabinet doors was wild, they looked factory finished. He’s never going back to a brush for trim work now lol.

What kind of paint did you use in that sprayer?

Yeah, thinning it is the key part. My friend skipped that step once and basically had to take apart his whole sprayer in the driveway (it was a huge mess). He uses the same basic latex now but always thins it a little, and it works like a charm.
