Shoutout to the $15 Ryobi caulk gun over the cheap $5 one
Used both on my bathroom trim last month, the pressure control on the Ryobi made a perfect bead on the first try. Anyone have a go-to brand for silicone sealant now?

Oh man, I was totally in the cheap caulk gun camp for years. Figured it was all the same. Borrowed my neighbor's nicer one when mine broke mid-project and it was a total game changer. That steady pressure makes such a difference, you don't realize how much you're fighting the cheap one. I'm never going back, it's worth the extra ten bucks just to not have a huge mess to clean up.

Seriously, this is the truth for so many things. People buy the cheap version of a tool, hate using it, and then think they just hate the whole task. A good tool doesn't just work better, it changes how you feel about the job. It's not about being fancy, it's about not fighting your own stuff. That little bit of extra control makes everything less of a headache.

Tell me you've never had caulk explode everywhere without telling me.

My uncle once tried to patch a hole in his drywall with a tube of caulk that had been sitting in his garage since the 90s. Stuff came out like chunky toothpaste mixed with gravel. Ended up throwing the whole tube at the wall in frustration and it left this weird abstract art splatter across three feet of Sheetrock. He just left it there for years, called it his "modern art piece.
