Showerthought: I tried to stain my deck a dark walnut color and it turned out purple.

The can said it was for pressure-treated wood, but I guess the old pine reacted weird... anyone know a good fix for this?

That purple deck is a real surprise. Did you test it on a scrap piece first, or did you just go for it like @ryanc71 said?

My buddy Dave just painted his whole fence this wild orange without testing it first.
