Spent 6 months painting trim with the brush angled wrong until I watched a pro at Lowe's do it in 30 seconds flat
I was using a 45 degree angle on the bristles, but the guy showed me to hold it almost flat and let the paint flow into the gap, has anyone else gotten a huge lightbulb moment from just watching someone else work?

Man, did my buddy watch a drywaller once and totally change his whole taping game.

Isn't that always how it goes though? You think you're doing fine until you see someone who actually knows what they're doing. It's wild how just watching a pro handle a knife and pan can totally flip your approach. I had the same thing with a painter friend showing me how to cut in a straight line without tape. It felt like I'd been working with a blindfold on before that.

Totally get that @robinp89. Used to think cooking was all about following the recipe to the letter, but watching a buddy break down a whole chicken in like two minutes completely changed my mind. Seeing how he used his fingers to find the joints instead of just hacking away made all the difference. Really made me stop and pay more attention to the little techniques that pros take for granted.
