Took me 3 years to realize I was sanding drywall wrong
I always went back and forth like sanding wood until a painter buddy pointed out I was just pushing dust into the paper. Switched to a circular motion and my walls finally look smooth instead of wavy. Anyone else make that mistake for way too long?

Yeah @ruby659 I gotta respectfully disagree with you here. Sometimes you learn the hard way and that's just how it goes. Four years and a ruined ceiling sounds rough but at least now you know what doesn't work. Building something that lasts usually means making a few mistakes first. Better to figure it out after some trial and error than never figuring it out at all.

Yeah @ruby659 there's something about thinking you're saving time or money that just backfires every single time. It's like the universe has a rule that shortcuts only cost you more in the end.
