Wasted a whole weekend on a 'simple' tile backsplash
Bought a $200 tile cutter kit thinking I could knock out my kitchen backsplash in a day, but the cheap blade chipped every single edge piece. Ended up having to buy all new tile and hire someone to fix it, costing me another $400. Anyone have a go-to brand for a decent wet saw that won't ruin a project?

Honestly, a good blade matters more than the saw itself in my book. I've had way better luck just buying a quality blade for whatever cheap saw I'm using.

Man that's the worst feeling, and stella_black33 is totally right about the blade being key. It's like this whole thing where we get sold on the main tool but the cheap part that does the actual work ruins everything. You see it with printer ink, coffee makers, all of it. The companies make the big item seem affordable but the profit is in the parts you have to keep buying. A decent diamond blade for a wet saw is worth the extra money upfront to avoid that exact headache.

Disagree about the blade being the only thing that matters. A cheap saw with a wobbly arm will mess up your cuts no matter what blade you put on it. You really need both decent tools to get a clean job done.
