Fine on both cars, but a $250 tint ticket only hit me, not the BMW guy
Last Friday on I-35 near Round Rock, a trooper pulled over three cars in like ten minutes for illegal window tint. My 2014 Civic and this dude's 2022 BMW both tested at 22% light passing through. I got the $250 citation, he got a verbal warning. When I asked why, the trooper said my out-of-state plates looked 'suspicious' while the BMW guy was a local resident. I'm all for enforcement being equal, but either the rule applies to everyone or it doesn't. Has anyone else caught a selective tint crackdown like this?

Did you catch if the trooper actually ran your plates before the stop, or was it just the tint meter that started the whole thing? That seems like the real difference between you two.
