Hot take: Teachers get roasted for dress codes but admin wears whatever they want

I work at a high school in Columbus and last week a VP wore ripped jeans and a hoodie while the principal wrote up a new teacher for having a visible tattoo. If the rule is "professional appearance" it should apply to everyone in the building, not just the people who aren't tenured yet. Anyone else see this at their school?

@abby_cooper exactly though. If the boss can dress down, the rule is fake.

Does the principal actually show up in jeans and a hoodie too, or is it just the VP doing that?

Wait, are you serious? The VP shows up in jeans and a hoodie regularly? That's wild. You'd think the principal would at least pretend to enforce the dress code by wearing something nicer himself. Honestly, that makes the whole rule look even more ridiculous if the people in charge can't even be bothered to follow it.
