My old manager said remote workers are "less committed" so I tracked my hours for 6 months and a local office guy did half my output.

He swore people in the office work harder, so I compared my 45 remote hours to an on-site coworker who only logged 22 real hours a week - who's really slacking and does the location even matter?

Is this really worth six months of your time to prove?

Location doesn't matter, your old manager just wanted to justify controlling where people sit. Your numbers prove it's about the person, not the desk.

Your old manager was Probably just trying to micro-manage based on some outdated rule they heard in a training video. Numbers don't lie, and your team's output clearly shows that where you sit means NOTHING. Glad you fought back on that, it takes guts to call out that kind of nonsense.
