After 3 tries, I finally nailed the foundation plan by switching from a 0.5mm lead to a 0.3mm.
The thinner line weight made all the difference for showing the footing details clearly, so has anyone else found a small tool change that fixed a big drafting headache?

Switched to a rolling ruler for long parallel lines after fighting with a regular T-square for years. It just glides and locks in place, so I can bang out a whole sheet of wall layouts without my lines drifting. That one cheap plastic tool saved me so much time and eraser dust.

Ugh, I'm still fighting that T-square.

It is wild how the right piece of gear can turn a frustrating process into something smooth, same with finding the right kitchen knife or the perfect notebook for your brain.

My old studio had these terrible plastic triangles that would slide around on vellum. I grabbed a cheap cork-backed 30/60/90 from the supply closet and it was like magic, no more smudging my ink lines trying to hold it steady.
