Blueprint scale error cost me 3 hours on a commercial job last Tuesday

I was laying out ductwork for a new HVAC system in a strip mall over on 5th street, and the dimensions on the MEP drawings just didn't line up with the structural grid. Turns out the drafter used a 1/8 inch scale on a 1/4 inch base map without noting it anywhere. Has anyone else had a similar mix-up where scaling errors threw off your whole day?

Wait, they seriously didn't note the scale change anywhere on the drawings?

Yeah scaling mixups like that are just another example of how shortcuts in planning always cost you more time later.

Always been more of a pencil and tape measure problem than an emergency.
