Hot take: my best drafting day came after a total screwup
Last Tuesday I spent 4 hours redoing a whole HVAC duct layout for a school in Phoenix because I forgot to account for the return air path. Ended up finding a simpler route that saved 30 feet of sheet metal and the foreman actually bought me lunch.

I read something similar from a guy on another forum. He said his best layouts came from fixing his own mistakes too. Sometimes that extra pressure makes you think clearer.
