I used to hand-draw every single elevation view for hours

Ever since I got into using AutoCAD dynamic blocks three years ago, I cut my drafting time on a 2-story house from 8 hours down to 90 minutes. What tools or shortcuts have you guys adopted that totally changed your workflow?

8 hours to 90 minutes is a big jump. But is it really that serious of a time savings when you factor in setting up those dynamic blocks in the first place? I've seen people spend a week building a block library and then brag about saving 15 minutes on a project. The math doesn't always add up. Plus, you still have to check and fix the blocks when they break or your drawing setup changes. Just saying, maybe the time isn't as cut and dried as you think.

Oh come on, 8 hours to 2-story hand-drawn elevations? That's crazy slow for hand drafting. I'm guessing you were way too detailed on the wrong things.
