Just realized my hatch pattern scales were all wrong for 3 years

I was going through some old drawings last night for a remodel job here in Austin and noticed the hatch patterns looked way off compared to a newer set I did. Turns out I had the scale set to 0.5 instead of 1.0 in my template since 2021. That explains why my site plans always looked a bit crowded when printed. Found the mistake while watching a random YouTube tip about annotation scaling from a guy named Mike. Has anyone else stumbled onto a setting error that messed up months of work without you noticing?

Funny how a tiny hidden detail can throw off everything else without you even knowing it.

Is it not the worst feeling when you finally spot that one dumb little thing and suddenly the whole puzzle clicks into place? I've been there with color balance before where one shadow was like 2% off and it made the whole piece feel dead, but I swore it was fine for weeks. And then you fix it and you're like, oh great, now I have to redo all that work or just live with the mistake forever. Honestly I think the pain of leaving it broken is worse than the time it takes to fix it, so yeah I'd probably go back and correct everything just so my brain can rest.

Two whole years of hatching being off and you just caught it now? That is wild to me because I know how annoying it is to stare at a drawing and think something looks off but you just talk yourself out of it. I had a similar thing happen with my dimstyles once where the text height was wrong for like six months and everything came out looking tiny. Did you already go back and fix all those old files or are you just leaving them be and moving forward?
