My main printer driver crashed mid-job and cost me a whole afternoon

Last Thursday I was printing a full set of plans for a commercial build and the driver just froze on page 37 out of 120. Tried reinstalling, rebooting, even swapped cables. Nothing worked for like 3 hours. Finally had to export everything as PDFs and send them to a print shop across town. Has anyone else had luck with a specific brand of printer for heavy drafting jobs? I'm thinking about switching.

Page 37 out of 120? That's rough. My last printer driver crash just nuked a 12 page report and I was already frustrated. Honestly though, switching brands is a gamble - every printer I've used has had some sort of driver meltdown at the worst possible moment.

Hold on, 37 out of 120 might actually be a page count for a booklet or magazine, not a continuous print job. Most normal document printers would choke way before hitting 120 pages in one go, lol. Still a bummer either way, but maybe it wasn't quite a full meltdown.

Well that sounds annoying but you're making it sound like a tragedy. A trip to the print shop and you had plans by the weekend, right?
