PSA: Put your hatch pattern scale at the right size before printing
Spent 3 hours last night redoing a whole floor plan. Client called me out during a meeting. Said the brick pattern looked like LEGO studs. Zoomed in on my screen and yep. Scale was set to 1 instead of 48. Been doing that for like 5 years without noticing. Anyone else have a moment where a client spotted your dumb mistake first?

I mean I kinda get why you'd be annoyed but honestly I think the client should've checked too. They're the ones paying for it and they see it before it goes to print. I've had clients blame me for a column being off when I just laid out what they gave me. Last month a guy complained the hatching looked "wrong" but when I pulled up the reference he sent it was exactly the same. Sometimes we make mistakes but clients are quick to point fingers when they could've caught it themselves with a quick zoom. Ever had a client take zero responsibility for bad info they gave you?

Yeah but you're the professional, if you can't spot obvious issues then what are they even paying you for.

Agree to disagree (respectfully). Even if someone is a professional, nobody catches everything 100% of the time and @lee689 made a good point - clients can and should double check their own stuff before blaming the designer.
