Spent 4 hours chasing a dimension on a print that was off by 2mm

Was working on a set of shop drawings for a commercial build in Denver last Tuesday. Kept checking my angles and measurements but the thing would not line up with the structural steel. After 4 hours of redoing everything I realized the architect's PDF export was scaled at 99% instead of 100%. Had to reprint the whole set. Ever had a printing or scaling issue mess up your whole day?

Respectfully disagree here. That 1% scaling error was actually on whoever set up the PDF export (maybe the architect or you), not some random ghost in the machine. Double checking your print settings before you start can save everyone that headache - I always test print one page first when dealing with commercial stuff.

People always blame the printer, never the person pushing the buttons. Classic move.

emma96 is right, reminds me when my brother blamed the printer for his own typo once.
