Spent $50 on a cheap drafting table and my neck is wrecked

Picked up one of those folding tables from Amazon for like 50 bucks last month. Worked fine for a week but the angle adjustment started slipping and now I'm hunched over like a gargoyle. Anyone else learn the hard way that investing in a real adjustable table is worth it?

...and that's exactly why I tell people to just skip the cheap folding tables entirely. You drop 50 bucks on a flimsy piece of junk, it breaks in a week, and now you're paying for a chiropractor visit that costs three times as much. I learned this lesson the hard way too, hurt my neck for months before I finally caved and got a proper drafting table. The height adjustment alone on a real table is worth it because you can stand or sit properly without craning your neck like a vulture. Paying a little extra upfront saves you from that nagging pain that makes you feel like you're 90 years old after an hour of drawing. Trust me, your spine will thank you later.

I read somewhere that cheap tables can cause nerve damage over time. Makes you think, right?

Nobody's talking about how bad monitor height is on cheap tables. Your screen ends up way too low without a proper stand or riser. That's where the real neck strain comes from, not the table itself.
