My old foreman told me to always check the suction hose clamps before a big pump run.

I blew it off last month on the Lake Erie project, and we lost a whole afternoon's work when a clamp failed and the hose blew off at the manifold. What's your pre-start checklist look like?

Right? It's never the big dramatic stuff. It's always that one tiny box you didn't check because it seemed pointless. Then three weeks later you get a letter saying your entire life is now on hold. Feels like the universe just loves to trip you up on the dumbest technicality.
