Rant: The week we pulled a whole truck out of the intake in Galveston

It was a 2003 Ford F-250, and the suction line just stopped dead. Has anyone else ever dredged up something that wasn't supposed to be there?

Heard a story from a buddy in Corpus Christi who pulled out a whole shopping cart from their intake last spring. That little thing had jammed the pump so bad they had to bring in a crane just to lift it clear. Guess it's not just trucks that cause trouble, anything big and metal seems to find its way into those lines.

You said "dredged up", but that intake suction line just held it there. We had to winch it out.

Yeah, that "winch it out" part is key, @fionam11. We ended up using a come-along on a similar clog last season.
