The riverbed near Milltown Bridge went from solid to soup in about three months.
We were pulling up way more silt than gravel after the spring floods changed the whole flow pattern. Anyone else seen a spot shift that fast?

Wasn't that spot always kinda muddy after a hard rain though?

Yeah, that's the thing with heavy rain, it just moves stuff around. @the_nancy, did your buddy's fishing spot ever get cleared out again, or is it just gone for good? I've seen a small creek near me get totally rerouted after one bad storm, left a whole new mud flat where the bank used to be. Makes you wonder how much of the landscape is just temporary.

My buddy's favorite fishing hole filled in with sand almost overnight after a big storm last year (he was pretty bummed).
