Genuinely don't get why so many guys swear by metal stills over rubber.
I spent 8 years on aluminum stilts in Phoenix before trying a set of rubber ProForm wide-boys six months back. Has anyone else found rubber absorbs way more vibration and lets you finish a full ceiling without your knees feeling wrecked?

Eight hours on aluminum? Man, that's wild. I switched to rubbers last year and my knees quit screaming after week one. The vibration dampening on hard ceilings is night and day different.

Man that Phoenix heat plus aluminum stilts sounds brutal, I feel for you. Rubbers are honestly a game changer for the knees, especially on those long drywall days where you're just punishing your joints. The vibration thing is real too, I noticed way less fatigue in my legs after switching. Glad you found something that works, that eight hour life on aluminum is no joke.

Rubber is way easier on the knees after a full 8 hour ceiling, no contest.

Actually rubber soles aren't strictly better for everyone in all cases, especially if you're working on really smooth concrete floors. I've seen guys slip and take a bad fall on polished slabs wearing rubber because that grip can actually grab too much and lock up. The vibration thing is huge though, I agree with that part. Just make sure you check your surface before committing to rubber all day.
