Hit 200 sheets hung in a single day for the first time last Thursday
I was working a big basement job with 12 foot ceilings in a new build out in the suburbs. Had a helper feeding me boards and we just got into a crazy rhythm. By the end of the day I counted and we had put up 200 sheets of 5/8 fire code. I honestly didn't think that was possible for two guys. Has anyone else ever tracked their daily sheet count and been surprised by the number?

200 sheets of 5/8 fire code in a day is a monster number, but I think you might be off on your math a little. 5/8 fire code is heavy stuff, around 70 pounds a sheet. Two guys humping 200 of those means you each moved about 7,000 pounds of drywall. That's a full semi truck bed worth of board. I've done a lot of drywall and the best I ever had with a good helper was 165 on 5/8, and we were both gassed by the end. 200 is doable if you're really moving, but check your numbers.

You're spot on @wells.christopher, 165 is a killer day right there. I've had days close to that and felt it for a week after, 200 sounds like a tall tale unless they were running on pure adrenaline.

Is that for real, @wells.christopher? Honestly, I used to think 200 sounded crazy but you got me rethinking it.
