Just hit 500 sheets of fire-rated board in a single day
I honestly didn't think it was possible on a commercial ceiling job, but my crew and I crushed it last Wednesday on a school renovation in Denver. Anyone else ever tally up their sheet count and get surprised by what you can do with the right setup?

Take that sheet count with a grain of salt because I've seen guys inflate numbers faster than a contractor's estimate. 500 fire rated boards in one day sounds like you had the perfect storm of a lift that actually worked, a helper who didn't call in sick, and no fire marshal showing up to inspect every single joint. Your crew must have been moving like they owed the boss money. Either that or you're counting sheets the way I count my calories, where half a sandwich equals a full one.

It's funny how the same kind of math works in other parts of life too. My buddy claims he ran a 4:30 marathon last weekend but his splits tell a different story when you look at the timestamps on his tracking app. Either your crew is superhuman or someone's counting half-sheets as full ones for the glory of it. I've seen exactly one perfect work day in my life and it was followed by three weeks of everything going wrong.
